NFC (Near-Field Communication) is an original technology developed by NXP to realize the promise of connecting the physical and virtual environments. NFC provides a secure wireless two-way communication between a mobile phone and reception devices such as other mobile phones, payment terminals or contactless readers. The Smartphone market is adopting NFC as a new connectivity option. NFC enabled phones allow the device to instantly communicate in real-time with existing contactless systems. In such cases, these phones can replace a multitude of RFID tags which are typically used at present (eg. smart card, paper ticket, RFID label, etc.). Major uses, such as card emulation, readers and Peer-to-Peer communications will be possible with wave or tap of your mobile phone.
